There are many ways you can get involved in peace cafés!

Volunteer

You could volunteer locally or remotely depending on your interest. We have many events that need promotion, and peace café working groups that need facilitation and on-the-ground help.

For example, our groups in Toronto, Victoria, Nelson, and Calgary could use some assistance organizing, searching for potential spaces, networking with other local social justice groups, or recruiting volunteers locally.

Or, our locations in Hamilton and Walkerton could use some day-to-day assistance ranging from traditional café volunteer help (washing dishes, serving, cleaning, cashier, promotion), office assistance (being a peace guide, library maintenance, event facilitation), or help with special events (conferences, festivals, symposia), or fund raising.

Employment

From time to time we have non-profit grants for summer, work study, or short contract jobs. None are available at this time, but check back regularly - info does get posted frequently.

Participate

Come to an event! Chat us up, let us (and your friends) know how your time with us was. Check the events calendar and see what's coming up soon. The more people that come out, the more people we connect with and the more we expand everyone's world views - including our own.
